Football positions in All 22 Pokémon

Learn what each All-22 football position asks from a Pokémon and how to choose players for offense, defense, and special teams.

Offense

Quarterback: look for speed, special attack, health, and a reliable all-around profile. Running backs: reward speed, attack, and durability. Receivers: value speed and coverage-friendly stats. Offensive line: size, health, and defense matter more than flashy popularity.

Defense

Defensive line: bulky Pokémon with defense and health can hold the middle. Linebackers: need a balance of defense, attack, speed, and special defense. Cornerbacks and safeties: speed and defensive coverage are the main ideas.

Special teams

Kicker, punter, and returner spots reward speed and role flexibility. Use the builder’s position view to test a Pokémon instead of assuming its type tells the whole story.

How to choose a player for a role

Start with the job, then compare the candidate. A quarterback needs a dependable mix of creation and durability. A running back benefits from speed and attack. An offensive lineman is more convincing when health, defense, and size keep the middle stable. The same Pokémon can be useful in one role and merely average in another.

Skill positions

Quarterback, running back, receiver, tight end, and slot roles reward different blends of speed, attack, special attack, health, and size. Look for a complementary pair rather than five identical profiles.

Front seven

Defensive ends, tackles, and linebackers need enough strength and durability to hold the middle. Faster linebackers can help close space, while heavier players give the front a stable anchor.

Coverage and returns

Cornerbacks, safeties, and returners benefit from speed and defensive awareness. If the outside is exposed, moving a flexible player into coverage can be more valuable than adding another interior specialist.

A quick position check

  1. Read the position label and identify the main job.
  2. Compare two or three candidates in scouting.
  3. Place the best fit, then inspect the unfilled positions before making the next pick.

Positions FAQ

Should every position have a perfect specialist?

No. A flexible player can be the correct answer when the roster has a larger weakness elsewhere.

Can I change a player after placing it?

Yes. Select the slot again to replace the player, or use the builder’s swap flow to test another arrangement.
