How to win the 17–0 Challenge

The 17–0 Challenge gives each round a region and type constraint. Draft a candidate that fits the roll, then place it where it helps the weakest part of your formation. Save rerolls for a type or region combination that leaves no useful options.

Use the builder as you read

Open the All-22 builder, select a slot, and compare candidates. The result is saved locally so you can test a different idea without losing your previous team.

Plan the first few rounds

The first roll is not a race to pick the most famous name. It is a chance to protect the shape of the roster. Place a candidate where the current roll gives you a useful fit, then remember which group is still empty. A good early decision keeps the next rounds flexible.

Use rerolls as repair tools

The 17–0 run gives one type reroll and one region reroll. Keep them for a roll that cannot cover a needed role or for a combination that forces several later picks into the same part of the field. If the current Pokémon can fill a flexible position, placing it may be better than chasing a perfect option.

Protect the middle

Do not spend every sturdy candidate on skill positions while the line and linebackers remain empty. The center is difficult to repair late.

Watch the outside

Receivers and defensive backs need speed. If the early team is slow, use a later roll to restore balance instead of adding another interior player.

Keep a fallback

A flexible Pokémon can rescue a difficult round. Leave yourself at least one role that can accept a broad profile.

Finish with a season review

After 22 rounds, read the team score and season result as a diagnosis. Record the first position that felt compromised and rebuild that part in the regular builder. The next 17–0 run should test one change at a time so you know what actually helped.

17–0 FAQ

Should I reroll a Pokémon I do not recognize?

No. Check its visible stats, type, and the open positions first. Unfamiliar does not mean unusable.

What is the best way to practice?

Build a normal lineup with the same formation, then start a challenge. You will recognize which roles need protection before the roll starts.
